Panasonic X300 & Variants
When dismantling any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.
Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T6 screwdriver.
Step 1.
Remove the battery cover and battery.
Step 2. Remove the two
screws at the base of the phone.
Step 3. Lever off the
earphone cover.
Step 4. Remove the two
screws.
Step 5. Open the screen
panel and remove the five screws marked below.
Step 6. Remove the screen
rear casing and release the screen connector
Step 7. Carefully prise
the fascia and midframe apart using a plastic shim.
Step 8. Now separate the
fascia and midframe.
Step 9. Open the CMOS
connector and remove the cable.
Step 10. Separate the base
and midframe taking care not to damage the CMOS cable.

Step 12. Remove the COMS
module from the midframe.
Step 13. Lift the PCB by
releasing the hook in the top right corner.
Step 14. Loosen the two
hooks on the back of the frame and remove the PCB.
Step 15. Lift the
microphone out of the chassis.
Step 16. Remove the keypad
shield.
Step 17. Remove the keypad
assembly.
Step 18. Remove the vibra
motor.
Step 19. Remove the
speaker.
Step 20.
Remove the base case spring.
Step 21. Carefully release
the aerial cover.
Step 22. And remove the
aerial cover.
Step 23. The aerial is of
the tape type and should be replaced after it has been removed.
Step 24. Remove the two
screen mylars.
Step 25. Lift and remove
the screen.
Step 26. Bend the fascia
carefully to pull out the screen hinge.
Step 27. Remove the screen
stopper
Step 28. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
